Our history: More than 50 years of passion for passenger transport

What began in 1969 with the entrepreneurial vision of Alfons Kistler, his wife Katharina and a used school bus has grown into one of the leading shuttle and bus service providers in the Munich area. Our family business, based in Dorfen, quickly expanded beyond the region: from school and company routes and club excursions in the 1970s, to our own MVV line in 1980, and on to the first day trips and additional school bus lines in the 1990s.

Since its founding, we have continuously professionalized our operations and, from the 2000s onwards, focused on the rental of buses with drivers as well as on business travel and shuttle services to Munich airport and Munich trade fair. Today, with 40 modern buses and a pool of around 50 drivers, we are established as one of the leading providers for bus charter, group travel, and factory and school transport in the Munich area.

Own MVV line 590

1985

Alfons Kistler Jr. joins the company as an automotive mechanic and driver

1986

First long-distance touring bus with toilet, air conditioning and kitchen

2000

Founding of Kistler Bustouristik GmbH with brothers Alfons Kistler Jr. and Josef Kistler as managing directors

2004

Completion of the new company depot with touring bus hall, workshop and bus parking spaces

2014

With Alfons Jr.’s son Benedikt Kistler, the third generation joins the family business

2017/18

Completion of the new office building

Since 2019

Further expansion of factory and school transport in the Erding and Munich area, with additional specialization in business, group and club trips as well as bus shuttle services.
