Status of compliance with the requirements

We are committed to digital accessibility and aim to design our website so that it is fully accessible to all users. We therefore continuously work to fully implement the requirements of the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and the Regulation on the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSGV).

Our website implements the specifications according to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG):

Visual perception

  • Text contrast: At least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
  • UI components: Buttons, borders, icons and focus indicators have a minimum contrast of 3:1.
  • Scalable text: Text can be enlarged up to 200% without loss of functionality.
  • Animations and flashing effects: No content flashes more than 3 times per second. Scroll animations are disabled when reduced motion settings are active.
  • Use of color: Information is not conveyed by color alone (e.g., required fields are also marked with symbols or text).
  • Responsive design: All content can be used without horizontal scrolling and is optimized for mobile devices.

Operability

  • Keyboard operability: All content and functions can be navigated using the Tab key. The focus indicator is clearly visible and not obscured. Users can leave every element again.
  • Skip links / jump marks: Ability to skip repeated navigation elements (e.g., "Skip to content").

Structure & semantics

  • Page titles: Each page has a meaningful and unique title.
  • Headings & structure: Logical HTML structure with hierarchically ordered headings (h1–h6).
  • Semantic HTML & ARIA attributes: Use of semantic HTML (header, nav, main, footer) and additional ARIA attributes for screen readers.

Content & media

  • Link purpose: The purpose of each link is clearly identifiable. Generic phrases such as “Click here” are avoided.
  • Forms: All form fields have unique labels and understandable error messages.
  • Status messages: Dynamic messages (e.g., form errors) are programmatically identifiable and announced by screen readers.
